Finally settled on a Rottweiler. Friends and family responded. It was believed that the Rottweiler is a killer dog, it is difficult to educate and train. Almost begged: “Come to your senses! You have a small child in your house (this is about my daughter).

But we have already decided everything for ourselves: we got a Rottweiler. I must say that before that the family had never had pets.

And so we came to the breeders. A huge “mob” of squealing, pushing and clumsy toddlers ran out to meet us. Eyes popped right out. We knew for sure that we needed a boy. But it was impossible to choose someone from this constantly moving “gang”. While we were explaining to the breeder who we want, and while she was trying to catch at least one puppy, the most agile, but well-fed, managed to fall into the bag that we brought with us and sat and waited. The issue with the choice was decided by itself. We took the puppy and went home.

That’s how we got a new family member – constantly squealing, whining, funny “imp”.

We named him Pierce. I remember well the first time: the puppy was constantly whining, especially at night. And my brother and I took turns sleeping with him on the rug. The puppy grew up, and the nightmares gradually stopped. And my daughter, who was two years old at the time, was just in love with Pierce. And he reciprocated her, so they grew up together, like brother and sister.

I remember that Pierce was not even a year old, there was one funny incident. It was a holiday, we have guests. Everyone, as one, was horrified by the sight of a young Rottweiler snoring peacefully on his mattress. Pierce paid no attention to the guests at all. Everyone sat down at the table and began to resent how such a terrible and terrible dog could be in the same house with a small child. We explained that they live together, Pierce loves her daughter very much, and in general they are best friends.

But people remained in their opinion. Suddenly the door opens, and the awakened daughter enters the room, pulling the Rottweiler by the ear. And he dutifully stomps after his little mistress. The guests were shocked. The dog did not make any attempts to free itself from the hands of the girl, on the contrary, it pushed her with its wet nose.

From a puppy grew a huge beautiful dog. The daughter also grew up. And their mutual affection grew stronger every day. If the daughter was wrong about something, and they tried to raise her voice at her, Pierce sat next to him and showed with his whole appearance that he would not let her be offended.

Here we had a dog that most people consider a killer dog, not amenable to education and training. But it’s not. If you love your pet, treat him well, then he will answer you the same. Our Pierce loved and understood us, he always carried out commands with great desire and defended us in difficult situations. But that’s a completely different story!
