The mineral stone will help the birds grind their beaks and independently regulate the intake of necessary substances into the body. Sepia or cuttlefish shell is another helper in this matter. The pet store sells special sand for the bottom of bird cages, it includes ground shells – also a source of minerals.

• Amadin.

Finches are small fluffy songbirds from the family of finches weavers, relatives of the well-known sparrows. Amadins sing so beautifully that it will seem to you as if you are in a beautiful wild jungle. The color of the finches depends on the variety, of which there are about thirty: Gould’s finches, rice finches, zebra, Japanese and others. The life expectancy of different types of finches is somewhat different, but in general it is about seven to ten years.

Amadins are sensitive to strong pungent odors. Think about where to place the cage so as not to disturb your ward.

When keeping finches, and other birds, in a city apartment, it is important to diversify their diet. A pet store consultant or veterinary specialist can help you choose a ready-made complete bird food – a special grain mixture that has a rich composition. But do not force the ward to sit only on a dry mixture. Lettuce, pieces of cucumber without skin, a tiny slice of celery, a piece of apple or pear without pits, grated carrots, banana pulp – this is not a complete list of what else you can please your feathered friend.

• Budgie ។

Budgerigars live up to 15 years. They are sociable and unpretentious in care. Wavy can be called the most popular bird for home keeping in the world. An abundance of interesting toys in a cage (a swing, a mirror, a bell) and the ability to make daily flights around the room – and now the feathered friend already has all the necessary freedom of action.

If you have one parrot, try to communicate with him more. When kept alone, a pet needs more attention, but the chances of teaching him to speak are much higher. He is unlikely to quote the classics, but calling you by name and saying hello is easy.

Paired content will help two wavy socialize, but in this case they will be much less willing to communicate with you. Wavy gradually imbued with confidence in the owner, they can easily land on the shoulder or arm.

• Corella.

A Corella parrot at home can live happily and long enough, about 15-20 years. He will need a spacious cage and a stand with multi-level sticks and horizontal bars. On them, the parrot will land while flying around the room. Equip the ward and koshoshilka. Only in this way can he feel like a getter and satisfy the natural instinct of finding food with the help of ingenuity.

Getting a Corella parrot is a great option for those who love the exotic and everything unusual. Thanks to the work of breeders, today there are many colors of these parrots: pearl, cinnamon, lutino (very light). And do not forget about the natural gray color. Rosy cheeks and a lush tuft make the pet’s plumage look like a full dress. When you observe a pet’s behavior long enough, you can guess its mood by the position of the topknot on its head. For a sleepy feathered friend, it will be omitted, but as soon as the parrot hears cheerful music, the tuft will become more like a kokoshnik or mohawk.
